Nomemade FAQ

Where are you located? Do you have a store I can walk into? I am located in Woodbury, MN. Nomemade Gluten Free Bakery is a cottage food bakery located inside my home. I do not have a brick-and-mortar store.

Do you still make custom cakes? No. I am stepping away from cakes and custom orders to make a variety of new treats!

How does Nomemade’s Model Work? Each week I will feature 1-2 new delicious gluten free products that will be available for pickup Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays from my home in Woodbury. I will announce the new items on Saturdays (12 days before they are available to be picked up). Ordering will be open for 1 week (Saturday to Saturday) or until I am fully booked. In addition to the limited time featured products, cupcakes will be available year round and can be picked up the same days.

Will you still make wedding cakes? I will be taking a small number of wedding cake orders as I am available. For now, I will only be making wedding cakes with 2 or more tiers and 30+ servings. Please email me at nomemadegf@gmail.com for more information.

Are your products safe for people with Celiac? Yes! I keep a 100% dedicated gluten free kitchen. There is no risk for cross contamination.

Do you have any dairy free options?
I am able to make dairy free cupcakes! They are available in the cupcake product page. If a product of the week is also dairy free I will indicate that clearly on the product page for that specific item. The products of the week will not be customizable.

How about vegan or egg free options?
I currently do not offer any vegan or egg free products. If a product of the week happens to be vegan or egg free, I will indicate that clearly on the product page for that specific item. The products of the week will not be customizable.

Are your products safe for those with nut allergies?
I use Bob’s Red Mill baking flour which has the disclaimer “Manufactured in a facility that also uses tree nuts”. I also bake with almond and peanut products in my kitchen. That being said, I have made many treats for people with nut allergies. All equipment is washed and sanitized between orders. I do my best to keep everything separate but can not guarantee anything since I do not keep a nut free household. Please contact me if you have further questions or requests. If an item of the week specifically contains nut ingredients I will include the allergen information on that items specific product page.

Are you taking any special precautions during COVID-19?
Yes! I am doing all no-contact pickup/delivery. If you choose to pickup your order, I will put your items on a table in the driveway at the agreed upon pickup time, and come out to say hello from afar! If I delivery items to you, I will ring your doorbell/knock and place the items near your front door, then wait to make sure you got them.

Why is it called Nomemade?
One of my nicknames growing up was Nomster. I bake everything from scratch and I wanted to combine the word Homemade with my name, and came up with Nomemade!

What is your favorite gluten free flour blend?
I have no affiliation with them but I personally love Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour. I find that I get the most even results and best textures in products when using this flour as it already has xanthan gum (a binding agent) in it.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations require a 72 hour notice. If you cancel 72 hours before
your delivery/pickup time, you’ll be refunded to your original payment
method.  Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit
card company to process and post the refund. Orders cancelled within 72
hours of your order pickup/delivery time are not eligible for refund. If
you have questions or concerns please send an email to
nomemadegf@gmail.com. Thank you!
